Our project is to create a responsible and sustainable brand with products that we love and enjoy. We are constantly inquisitive about the origin and the story behind the things we consume and that is the spirit of Lasso.
We design fashion products made with love, respect and honesty. We work with suppliers and materials that match with our philosophy and we constantly try to improve the transparency of our processes.
Our products are timeless, unisex and well made. We take very seriously the quality of everything we create. They are designed to last.
We engage in the slow fashion movement. We don’t want to follow the fast timeline of the fashion industry, but instead, we carefully think about every line of products as designers. We want to maintain the quality and create products that last. We also charge less margins than the rest of the industry as a form of respect for our distributors and clients.
Our wish is for you to enjoy our products for as long as possible. For instance, to make their life longer, we are able to replace individual parts of your products if you feel it is necessary.
You are part of the project! All of our products are delivered unassembled and flat. You have to finish the process to make it complete. But don’t get scared, it’s easy and fun. The process of assembling the Lasso products takes between 5 and 20 minutes.
We like the idea to implicate our clients so they can really feel that this object is his or hers. This emotional connection is a way to fight obsolescence of fashion products. In Lasso’s chain of production, from the suppliers to the final clients, everyone is giving a bit of affection and time to make them unique and enjoyable.
We live in France and we believe that producing our goods in a range of 500 km around us is essential. We care as much about our ecological as the social impact. The felt, soles and packaging are made in Italy, manufacturing is done in Nantes and Hirson, logistics in Troyes, France.
All of them being producers and suppliers we know and have a close relationship with.
As our base clients expands, we may consider manufacturing in America or Asia to avoid shipping from too far away. So, if you are a manufacturer and you would like to get involved in our project, we would be happy to hear from you.
We use high-end quality materials for our products. We use as much natural material as possible like wool, linen or cork and solid constituents such as polyester to assure the proper quality. We love leather but we decided not to use any, because we cherish cows and sheep even more.
Furthermore, when we launch a new product we intend to produce it for as long as possible, so we are constantly improving the details, each generation is a little better than the last one. We strongly believe in this methodology and the quality of our materials to provide long-lasting products.
As for care, be careful when washing your Lassos’ products. You should put them inside the tote bag (which is the packaging of our products) and wash it with cold water.
We are product and graphic designers, and together we create new products and improve the quality and the service of Lasso. Our project was born in 2012 with the idea of producing something locally that we would directly benefit as users. Today, we keep that philosophy and use our products in our day to day life.
As a family and a small business, we wish to have human and respectful relationships with each other but also with everybody we work with.
As humans do, we sometimes make mistakes. We might have stocks difficulties, it could happen that we make a shipping error or that we have bugs on our website.
